Boston Crime and Disorder Panel and Consultation on the Police and Crime Plan

Please see the information below to see how you can support crime and disorder reduction in Boston and give you views on the Police and Crime Commissioners Police and Crime Plan.

Operation Plotting – New Crime & Disorder Panel in Boston

At the Boston Community Leaders Engagement Briefing held in July, Dr. Carina O’Reilly from the University of Lincoln briefed those present on the Operation Plotting initiative.  She is now recruiting for people to become members of a permanent panel to look at crime and disorder in Boston.

The first panel meeting will be face-to-face, held in central Boston in October or November -  date and time to be confirmed but most likely early evenings on a weekday. If you are unable to attend the initial date, you can still take part in the panel and join later meetings. At the initial panel meeting, they will discuss how the panel should work, who should be chair, and what the panel should discuss. The meeting should take no longer than an hour and a half.   If you’d like to take part, please click on  the following link -https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspxid=xEculd4FgkKDr19LRrFij9nCNM2OjlhHskmycY6nXe9UNUtCUkhUMEVaREVEVDJSOFQ2NEI2MUtXVi4u and fill in the short form, which will also ask what times and dates would be most convenient to you for the initial panel to be held.

Consultation on the Police and Crime Plan 2024 – 2029

PCCs play a leading role in securing efficient and effective police and criminal justice services, holding Chief Constables to account for delivery and setting the budget and strategic direction of police services. Every PCC is required to produce a Police and Crime Plan that sets out their priorities for policing and community safety and which is the basis for how they hold the Chief Constable and the police force to account.  The PCC is seeking the views of the public and partners on the proposed themes and priorities within his Police and Crime Plan and his high-level accountability framework.

The consultation is now live at this link and will run until 29th September: Police and Crime Plan Public Consultation 2025-2029 | Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner (lincolnshire-pcc.gov.uk)
