π Closure Order Granted β Wallis Street, Sleaford |
||
|
A Closure Order has been granted on a property in Sleaford that had been taken over by a county lines drugs gang. A Closure Notice was initially issued by North Kesteven District Council following concerns about serious disorder and the exploitation of a vulnerable resident. Working in partnership with Lincolnshire Police and the landlord, Amplius, swift coordinated action was taken to safeguard the tenant and protect the wider community. A partial Closure Order was granted at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 4 March 2026 and will remain in place for three months. The Order prohibits anyone other than the tenant from entering the address. Breaching a Closure Order is a criminal offence and may result in arrest. PC Kennedy, Community Beat Manager for Sleaford, said: βThis is the fourth Closure Notice we have put in place within Sleaford Town Centre since mid-January 2026, although not all have been county lines related. We want to make it clear that county lines activity, drug-related incidents, and associated criminal behaviour will not be tolerated within Sleaford Town Centre. We work closely with all partner agencies to enforce the law and tackle crime, ensuring a safe living environment for everyone.β Closure Orders are used to protect victims and communities by restricting access to properties linked to nuisance, disorder, and criminal activity. Support and safeguarding measures will continue to be provided to the tenant. We remain committed to tackling criminality and keeping our communities safe. | ||
