Sutton on Sea: Appeal following altercation

We are appealing for witnesses following a report of an altercation in Sutton on Sea.

A man in his 60s was reportedly assaulted by another man on the steps from Roman Bank up to the Promenade in Sandilands. This was believed to have taken place at some point between 12pm to 12.30pm on Friday 31 July. The victim sustained injuries to his face, arms and legs.

A few hours after the report, a man in his 40s was arrested in connection with the incident. He has since been released on bail while investigations are ongoing.

We are also appealing for anyone who may have captured dashcam footage of the incident to contact us.
